We can appreciate that this isn't any easy decision: to part with something you love and have faith it will be recreated into something you'll love even more.  Below are commonly asked questions; however, please feel free to reach out directly as well if you still have additional questions/concerns here.

How do you determine the price of your quilts and other items offered?

 

Prices are listed based on size and complexity of creating your original project. The price listed for each item is an average cost and may be adjusted for special requests.  Variables that affect pricing include the types of materials used  (i.e. cotton fabrics cost far less than damask, or brocades,) intricacy of design, and fine detail work; as both require greater time and effort in creating the piece.   Naturally, the more information you can share  regarding what you have in mind, the better able we are to give you an accurate quote in terms of materials and time.

I have an idea for a custom-designed project.  What do I do next?

 

First step is to contact Legacy Originals.  You can call (720-938-3888) or email linda@legacyoriginals.net. From there....you share your ideas and preferences and we discuss how best to make your item.  We can offer suggestions such as fabrics and color themes. Communication is key to creating the product that is perfect for you! Due to the nature of hand-work, each piece is an individual work of art and entails some use of creative license.  However, all effort is made to ensure that the finished piece reflects your vision.  Your input is sought and encouraged at each stage as work proceeds.

When is payment due?

 

Payment is due upon receipt of your garment in order for one of our talented seamsters to commence work on your item.  You can pay by credit card or through PayPal.

How long does it take to finish a piece?

 

This varies based upon size and detail, as well as the current schedule.  When an initial cost estimate is given, a time estimate is decided upon as well.  It can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to complete a piece, depending upon size, intricacy of design, detail, and execution.  The quality of a piece will not be compromised due to time constraints.  If you must have a piece completed by a specific deadline, please be sure to let us know when placing your order.

How do you return the finished product to me?

 

I will ship it to you Priority USPS so it arrives safely and you get your package right away.  Your item will also be insured and will include delivery confirmation.

What if I am not satisfied with my product?

 

As your item is being crafted, our seamsters make every effort to communicate with you regarding your wishes and seek your input.  This open communication helps to prevent any unwanted surprises and increases the chances you will be delighted with your purchase.  Please note:  the creation of custom sewing projects involves evaluation of each piece of fabric received, careful deconstruction of clothing, experimentation with various layouts, choosing or creating patterns, and skill in designing a piece that best highlights the unique attributes of each garment.  Our seamsters invest a great deal of time and effort in each project.  With this in mind, we do not provide refunds, though we work hard toward 100% customer satisfaction!
